This bearing has primarily been used as a suspension pivot bearing, though it has been used in rear hubs occasionally.
Enduro Bearings pioneered MAX type bearings over 20 years ago for bicycles to address the challenges associated with mountain bike pivots. These bearings have 35-40% more load capacity than standard radial bearings. We accomplish this with a special design where the maximum number of balls are inserted into the bearing, via a custom ground slot in the races. The additional balls, combined with deep race grooves in these bearings providing greater lateral support for the twisting and multi-directional forces associated with mountain bike pivots. This ABEC-3 bearing features deep-groove design races, with Grade 10 balls and dual rubber seals for superior protection against the elements, while keeping the 90% fill of Almagard extra high pressure grease inside. The extra-wide double-row design greatly reduces flex in the suspension linkage while doubling the bearing contact area.

The Enduro line of bearings are available in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. Our bearings are always engineered with deepest groove races possible to accommodate the largest balls and feature dual-lip seals that ride in a micro-groove creating a full labyrinth to provide superior protection against the elements.
